Michelle Zhang: Live from the Peruvian Amazon!

As we’re ramping up with the 2018 Travel Access Project Grant recipients, planning away for their adventures next year, we’re simultaneously winding down with last year’s students who are finishing up their travels.

Michelle Zhang recorded this video for us as part of the Gap Year Association Voices Project. As she’s recording it, she’s chugging up the Amazon River in Peru, sleeping in a hammock on an open boat, and having the adventure of a lifetime. And this is AFTER learning Spanish in Guatemala, volunteering with an NGO dedicated to women’s empowerment in Mexico, and then backpacking and spending a month in Colombia.

Did I mention that she’s doing this independently and solo?
